About This Project

A highly figured piece of oak from the base of an ancient oak which overlooked Seale Hayne Agricultural College, now Hanna’s, for generations.

It’s a mixture of light sap wood and dark heart wood, with swirling figure throughout and cracks which were on the surface of the tree included into the rim of the form.

It is approximately 110mm in diameter and 140mm tall, it has been sealed with three coats of Danish oil and waxed leaving it with a durable satin glow.

A truly unique piece of wood which would grace anyone’s home.
